David Joel Williams died recently at his Moscow home. He was 42.
Dave was born Aug. 11, 1960, in Orofino to Noel D. and Mary Jane Wright Williams. He grew up in Clarkston and graduated from Kendrick High School in 1978.
That same year he joined the Air Force where he served in Germany as a military policeman. Following his discharge, he continued his career in law enforcement until he was disabled. He continued to make his home in Moscow.
David was an avid reader, especially of world and war history. He also was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
Survivors include his mother, Mary Jane Williams and his brother, Richard Williams, both of Lewiston; and a sister, Wendy Williams of Rochester, Minn.
His father preceded him in death in 1992.
Cremation has taken place and a private service and scattering of the ashes will be held by his family. Arrangements are under the direction of Short's Funeral Chapel of Moscow.
The family suggests memorials be made to the LDS Church Relief Fund.
