Robert (Bob) Allen Stevenson passed away Feb. 22, 2012, after a short battle with cancer. He was 80.
Bob was born Feb. 14, 1932, to Irene (Marsh) and Curtis T. Stevenson in rural Eckman, N.D. Bob graduated from Maxbass, N.D., in 1949.

Bob farmed and worked for Truax-Traer Coal Mine in North Dakota from 1949 to 1960. During this time he pursued a career in electrical line work through correspondence and on-the-job training. He worked for Verendrye Electrical Co-op in Velva, N.D., from 1960 to 1964. After that he did electrical construction in The Dalles and La Grande, Ore., until 1966. From 1966 to 1976 he lived in Princeton and Harvard and worked for Clearwater Power in Potlatch. He then partnered with his twin brother in Hardware Hank in Richardton, N.D. In 1977 he went back to line work at Hazen, N.D., and then line construction in Rifle and Oak Creek, Colo. From 1980 to 1994 he worked line construction with various companies while living at Harvard. He and his wife moved to Lewiston in 1999.
He was a member of Grace Lutheran Church in Lewiston, the Fraternal Order of the Eagles Lodge and the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers.
Survivors include his wife of 58 years at their home in Lewiston; a son; a brother; a sister; two sisters-in-law; two granddaughters; one grandson; two step-grandsons; a daughter-in-law; a former daughter-in-law; and numerous cousins, nephews and nieces.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Rick Stevenson; and two brothers, Donald and Curtis J. Stevenson.
Cremation has taken place and a memorial service will be conducted at 7 p.m. today at Mountain View Funeral Home in Lewiston.
Memorial donations may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
