Early Day Resident of Genesee Passes

Services were held in the Spokane Valley Hazen & Jaeger Funeral Home for William O. Springer, who passed away on Oct. 26, 1977, at Otis Orchards with a heart attack.

William H. Springer was born in Sand Beach, Michigan on May 5, 1892 to Allison and Wilhemia Springer. In 1894 he moved with his parents to Genesee, Idaho where he grew to manhood and married Elsie Matson. After a few years of farming in Canada, they returned to the Spokane Valley where they have resided for the past 52 years. Elsie preceded William in death on May 12, 1977. William is survived by four daughters, three sons, 16 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren, and one brother, Markie.
