Obituary - Brian K. Schwandt

Brian K. Schwandt, 48, Fort Myers, Fla.

Brian Keith Schwandt passed away Sunday, April 1, 2007, from liver cancer.

He was born on May 9, 1958, in Lewiston. His family lived in various places but ultimately settled in Potlatch, where he graduated from high school in 1976. He then went on to college, graduating from Washington State University with a degree in business.

He later moved to Albuquerque, N.M., and worked in restaurant management, but sunny weather and cruise ships beckoned, so off he went to Miami. His final stopping place was Fort Myers, Fla., where he worked at several places, including Sears and Select Comfort. He was a very hardworking man and there wasn't much he couldn't do or figure out once he set his mind to do it.

He loved going on different cruises and also enjoyed having a variety of animals around including a parrot he taught to say many words, some of them quite colorful.

Brian was dedicated to his family and was loved very much in return. He is survived by his mother; three sisters and brothers-in-law; and one brother and sister-in-law. Brian adored his many nieces, nephews and their families.

Brian was very brave to the end. He is now finally free of pain. He's going to a far better plance than here on Earth, but he will be missed and loved forever by his family. God be with him.

At Brian's request cremation has taken place and no services will be conducted.
