William H. Rosenau, 87, former Genesee Farmer, Died in Lewiston March 2

William H. Rosenau, 1015 7th Ave., Lewiston died at 1:15 a.m. Sunday at St. Joseph's Hospital of the infirmities of age. He was 87 and had been ill 13 months.

He was born at Blue Earth, Minn., the son of William and Caroline Rosenau, on Dec. 2, 1887. In 1907, he came to Idaho, where he farmed 28 years in the Genesee area until 1938.

He married Della Morscheck at Genesee on July 14, 1910. In 1938 the Rosenaus moved to Winona, where he farmed until 1945, when the couple moved to Lewiston.

He was a member of Trinity Lutheran Chudrch [sic] and was a 32nd Degree Mason.

Survivors include his widow at the family home; a daughter, Marguerite Berry, and a sister, Laura Johnson, both of Lewiston; a daughter, Edna Bailey, and a son, Willard Rosenau, both of Grangeville; a sister, Clara Halverson, Spokane, nine grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren.

The funeral was held Tuesday at 1:30 p.m. at Malcolm's [sic] Brower-Wann Memorial Chapel, with pastor Jim Berentson of Trinity Lutheran Church officiating. Burial was at St. John's Lutheran Cemetery, Genesee, where graveside service was at approximately 3 p.m.

The familiy suggests that memorials be made to charities of the donor's choice.
