Obituary - Dorothea Roise

Judge Roise's Mother Dead

COEUR D'ALENE - Mrs. Dorothea Roise, 82, the mother of Probate Judge Elmer Roise of Lewiston, died at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at Coeur d'Alene Homes. She had been in failing health for a number of years. Death was caused by a blood clot.

Mrs. Roise was born Feb. 22, 1876, in Lac qui Parle County, Min., and moved to Moscow in 1903 with her husband, John L. Roise. Mr. Roise died in 1934 at Moscow.

She was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church and the Rebekah Lodge at Moscow.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Lilliam Grindstaff of Coeur d'Alene; three other sons, Dilbert and Joseph Roise of Spokane, and Col. Harold Roise of the U.S. Marine Corps at Washington, D.C.; a sister in Minnesota; and seven grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at Our Savior's Lutheran Church at Moscow with the time to be set. Burial will be at Moscow cemetery.
