Obituary - Thomas A. Papineau

Retired Culdesac Millwright Thomas A. Papineau Succumbs

SPOKANE -- Thomas Alexander Papineau, 62, a resident of Culdesac since 1959, died at Sacred Heart Hospital at Spokane Wednesday of a heart ailment. He had been a patient one day. He was born at Marshall, Min., May 4, 1909, and was a member of the Catholic Church and Culdesac Grange. A millwright at Culdesac, he retired last year.

He married Eleanor Blakley at Coeur d'Alene Aug. 26, 1966. She survives him at the Culdesac residence.

Survivors also include two sons, Thomas R. Papineau, Orofino; Joseph R. Papineau, Culdesac; a daughter, Mrs. John (Kay) Raider, Kirkland, Wash.; 16 grandchildren; a sister, Mrs. John Brosa, Pullman; four stepchildren, Mrs. Joe Herdon, Portland, Ore., Mrs. Philip Remacle, Culdesac; Mrs. Ronald Walter, Culdesac; and Mrs. Dean Primmer, Rathdrum.

Mass will be celebrated at Short's Chapel, Moscow, Monday at 11 a.m. with the Rev. John Koelsch, St. Mary's Catholic Church, Moscow, officiating.

Burial will be at Moscow City Cemetery.

The family suggests memorials to the Heart Fund.
