Hannah J. Packard, 54, Moscow

Hannah J. Packard, 54, of Moscow died Tuesday, Feb. 17, 2004, at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Lewiston of heart-related conditions.

Hannah was born July 18, 1949, in Washington, D.C., to Fred L. and Hannah Sebastian Page. The family moved to Texas City, Texas, when she was a small child, and Hannah grew up and attended school there.

Following high school, Hannah began her college education. Among the colleges she attended was Texas A&M. Through her educational process she received four different degrees.

Hannah served in the U.S. Army for a while and was honorably discharged in 1977. She relocated to Lewiston to be closer to her father.

She married Michael Packard Dec. 15, 1999, in Moscow and had made her home there since then.

She raised and showed canaries, winning local and national awards. Her two dogs, Rufus and Hoagie, were very special to her life. Hannah enjoyed cooking, camping and WSU Cougar baseball. Hannah was a member of the Moscow Christian Life Center.

She is survived by her husband, Michael of Moscow; and her father and stepmother, Fred and Wilma Page of Hope, Idaho.

A celebration of Hannah's life will be held at 3 p.m. March 7 at the Moscow Christian Life Center, 417 S. Jackson. Pastor Dan Johnson of that church will officiate. Arrangements are under the direction of Short's Funeral Chapel in Moscow.

Memorials are suggested to a favorite charity.
