Jack Herman Nebelsieck, 70, a Genesee native and resident of the area all his life, died yesterday at 11:30 p.m. at Paradise Villa. He had been ill for more than a year with cancer.
He was the son of Dedrick and Olga Nebelsieck, born March 7, 1907. He was married to Irene Qualey at Genesee, Oct. 28, 1933.
He had farmed west of Genesee, was a school bus driver for a number of years and most recently worked for the University of Idaho. An avid sports fan, he was a regular attendant at Genesee athletic events.
He was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church and had served on the Lutherhaven board for many years. He was a life member of the Lewiston Elks Lodge and was a former road district commissioner.
Survivors include his wife; a son, Gary of Colton; a brother, Cecil of Clarkston; a sister, Marjorie Gilson of Lewiston, and four grandchildren.
The funeral will be Friday at 1;30 p.m. at St. John's Lutheran Church in Genesee. The Rev. William Leed and the Rev. Ted Meske will officiate. Burial will be in the Genesee Lutheran Cemetery.
The family suggests memorials to the charity of the donor's choice.
