Clayton Mulalley, Genesee Native, Dies in Lewiston

A Genesee native and retired farmer of the Genesee-Troy area, Clayton Patrick Mulalley, 65, died Wednesday in a Lewiston hospital. He had been in ill health for some time.

Mulalley, born Nov. 8, 1907, was the son of Micael [sic] and Augusta Mulalley. The family lived in the Lenville area for many years.

He married Nellie Oliver at Genesee, Nov. 25, 1931. The couple farmed and raised cattle before moving to Lapwai about four years ago.

Mulalley was a road commissioner at Troy for several years, was active in the Troy Grange and a member of the Moscow Elks Lodge and the Catholic Church.

In addition to his wife, survivors include three sons, Jerry and Ronald, both of Lapwai, and Michael, Spokane; five daughters, Elaine (Mrs. Howard) Campbell, Spokane; Betty Ann (Mrs. Carrol) McCormick, Western Caroline Islands; Jeanette (Mrs. Charles) Roberts, Walsenburg, Colo.; Mary Jean (Mrs. Wayne) Borgen, Aldergrove, B.C., Canada; and Kathy (Mrs. Wes) Oller, Moscow; two brothers, Walter, Clarkston, and Frank, Roseburg, Ore.; two sisters, Mrs. George Meek, San Jacinto, Calif., and Mrs. Morris Richie, Idaho Falls; 23 grandchildren and one great-grandchild.

Rosary will be recited tonight at 8 o'clock at Short's Chapel. Funeral mass will be at 10 a.m. tomorrow at St. Mary's Catholic Church, Moscow. Burial will follow at the Moscow Catholic Cemetery.
