Henry J. Moser, Long a Moscow Resident, Dies

Henry Joseph Moser, a retired farmer and Moscow resident since 1939, died yesterday at his home. He was 74.

Moser attended schools in Colton.

Moser was born July 16, 1900, in Colton, the son of Alois and Elizabeth Moser. He married the former Rose Kueber in Canada in 1918.

The couple came to Moscow in 1939, where he farmed east of town. The site McDonald School now occupies was once part of his property.

He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church.

In addition to his wife at the family home, survivors include two sons, Melvin, Genesee; Dewey, Lewiston; three daughters, Mrs. Ed Semler, Moscow; Mrs. Lee Lakin, China Lake, Calif.; Mrs. Keith Bieren, Moscow; a brother A.T. Moser, Moscow; four sisters, Mrs. Elsie Kerr, Seattle; Mrs. Margaret Taufen, Lewiston; Mrs. Frances Keuver, and Mrs. Lena Rosgen, both of Alberta, Canada; 21 grandchildren and four great grandchildren.

Rosary will be said tomorrow at 7:30 p.m. at Short's Chapel. Funeral mass will be Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at St. Mary's with Father Kenneth Arnzen officiating. Burial will be in Moscow Catholic Cemetery.

The family suggests memorials be made to Gritman Hospital.
