MOSCOW -- Emma Jane Miller, a lifelong resident of the Genesee area, died at 3 a.m. Thursday at Gritman Memorial Hospital where she had been a patient one day. She was 66.
She was a housewife and lived on a farm northeast of Genesee since her marriage 42 years ago.
She was born Dec. 4, 1910 at Troy to Frank and Hazel Steelsmith. She was married to Marvin Miller May 16, 1935, at Lewiston. He survives at Genesee.
Mrs. Miller was a member of Jehovah's Witnesses.
Survivors in addition to her husband are a son, Larry Miller, of McAllen, Texas; a daughter, Marlyn Knoke of Genesee; her mother and two brothers, Clarence and Lawrence Steelsmith, all of Troy; two sisters, Callie Pointner of Coeur d'Alene and Alice Cave of Spokane; and 12 grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Saturday at Short's Funeral Chapel with Dale Coffen of Moscow officiating. Burial will follow at Moscow Cemetery.
