Eunice McDowell, 92, passed away March 5, 2012. Eunice had been a resident at the Lewiston Veterans Home since 2010.
Eunice was born to Ida and Harry Henderson in Hardin, Mont. She lived and attended school in Kendrick.
She married and they had a son. This marriage ended in divorce. At the beginning of World War II, Eunice went to work in the box factory at Potlatch Forests Inc.
Eunice married Herbert McDowell Dec. 8, 1945, and they made their home in Lewiston. They were married for 61 years.
Eunice was preceded in death by her husband, Herbert; her five sisters, Ethel, Carrie, Grace, Pauline and June; and her two brothers, Craig and James. She is survived by her sister; her six sons and their spouses; her daughter and husband; and 18 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
The family would like to thank the Lewiston Idaho State Veterans Home for its support, attention and compassion shown to Eunice while in their care. Memorial donations may be made to the Idaho State Veterans Home or to a charity of the donor's choice.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Malcom's Brower-Wann Funeral Home in Lewiston. Online condolences may be left at www.malcomsfuneralhome.com.
