Obituary - Albert W. Lorang

Albert W. Lorang, 69, College Place, Wash.

Albert William Lorang, 69, passed away Sunday, July 20, 2003, at the medical center in Lorna Linda, Calif., after a short illness.

Albert was youngest boy of Henry and Marguerite Tobin Lorang's 11 children raised on the White Spring Ranch near Genesee.

Albert married Georgia Lee Webb of Lewiston, and they started a family in 1952. Al held a variety of jobs in Idaho and Pennsylvania until he went to work for Payless Drug Stores in The Dalles, Ore., in 1957 and Walla Walla in 1972. He became a Realtor in 1977 and continued working until his passing. Georgia passed away in January 2002 after a lengthy illness.

Albert loved his garden, good hard work, funny jokes, fishing and being of service. He devoted much time to activities and building projects of the Stateline (Ore.) Adventist Church where he was head deacon. Albert was surprised to find love and companionship with June Mandigo Larsen and married her in June 2002.

Albert is survived by his wife, June of College Place; his children, Carolyn Workinger of Belmont, Calif., Sharon Duerst of Bend, Ore., Michael Lorang of Walla Walla and Bradley Lorang of Wood Village, Ore.; nine grandchildren; one great-grandchild; Georgia's mother, Faye McGinn of Lewiston; sisters Mae Jones of Dillon, Colo., Pat Armstrong of Lewiston, Jean Sargent of Spokane, Lois Berreman of Reno, Nev., and Rita Weston of Auburn; Wash.; June's children, Debra Christiansen of Milton-Freewater, Ore., Ted Larsen of Seattle, Teresa Peterson of College Place; June's 10 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

The memorial service is at 10:30 a.m. Sunday at the Stateline Seventh-day Adventist Church, Stateline Road, Stateline, Ore.
