Loaiza Infant Crib Death Victim

Crib death syndrome has taken the life of another area infant.

Thomas Loaiza Jr., six-week-old son of Tom and and [sic] Diane Loaiza of Genesee, was found dead in his bed about 6:40 a.m. today by his grandfather, Fred A. Loaiza at the senior Loaizas' [sic] home near Genesee.

The baby was born March 7 at Eskaton Health Center, Pullman.

Survivors, in addition to his parents, are grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Fred Loaiza Sr.; Mr. and Mrs. Robert Bennett, Moscow; great-grandparents Mr. and Mrs. H.E. Bennett, Genesee, and Mrs. Norma Spence, Moscow; four great-grandparents in California and a great-great-grandmother in Puerto Rico.

Funeral arrangements are pending at Short's Chapel.
