Obituary - Catherine A. Linehan

Mrs. Catherine Agnes Linehan, 82, lifetime resident of Genesee, passed away at 11:15 p.m. Thursday, May __ at the Latah Nursing Home in Moscow of the infirmities of age.

She was born April 27, 1884, on Driscoll Ridge near Troy, Idaho, where her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Patrick Cunningham, had homesteaded. She married Arthur Linehan January 1907. He farmed in the Genesee area until his death February 7, 1965.

The Linehans celebrated their Golden Wedding with an Open House at their home on Sunday, January 13, 1957. One hundred and twenty relatives and friends called to greet them.

Mrs. Linehan was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Genesee, the Altar Society, and Neighbors of Woodcraft.

She is survived by two sons, Donald and Raphael Linehan, both of Genesee; three daughters, Mrs. Vincent Carter, Beaverton, Oregon; Mrs. Catherine Lavery, Spokane, and Mrs. William Crescenti, Chicago; eleven grandchildren and one great granchild.

Rosary was recited at 7:30 p.m. Sunday at St. Mary's Catholic Church, the Rev. Fr. B. C. McCarthy officiated.

Mrs. Wilson Esser was organist, and accompanied Mrs. Gene Woodruff and Mrs. Elmor Kraut who sang hymns.

Active pallbeareres were Jerry Linehan, Michael Lavery, Ray Bartroff, Greg Linehan, Jack Bartroff, and John Milton.

Honorary bearers were the Altar Society.

Burial in St. Mary's Catholic cemetery.
