Obituary - Joseph H. Krick

Joseph Henry Krick was born Feb. 6, 1920. He died Oct. 2, 2011. Joe was born on the family farm outside of Genesee, one of 13 children, of Henry and Anna Krick.

Joe was preceded in death by his brothers and sister-in-law, Otto, and Paul and Darlene Frost; sisters and brothers-in-law, Mary and Matt Kasper, Magdalena, Theresa and Cliff Lundt, Pauline and Phil Kasper, Alma and Joe Bensel, Eleanor and John Zagelow, Sister Laura, Rose and Bill Hyde, and Clara and Ferd Voss; and brother-in-law Ervin Dahmen.

Joe is survived by a sister of Pasco, and a sister-in-law.

Joe was a U.S. Marine veteran of World War II serving in the South Pacific.

Joe worked on the family farm at Leon, west of Genesee, until 1947. He then worked for Puget Sound Plywood in Tacoma until he retired in 1986. Through the years, Joe still made yearly trips to help his brother and nephew with the harvest on the family farm he loved.

The rosary will be recited at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Boniface Catholic Church, followed by a celebration of a funeral Mass at 11 a.m. Interment at St. Boniface Catholic Cemetery.
