GENESEE -- Rosary for Lawrence C. Kraut, 68, who died Friday will be held tonight at 8 o'clock at St. Mary's Catholic Church. Funeral mass will be read tomorrow at 10 a.m. at the church. Burial will be in the Genesee Catholic Cemetery.
Kraut, a Genesee native and area farmer, died at Gritman Memorial Hospital of an apparent heart attack. He had been in ill health for two years.
He was born Jan. 12, 1906, the son of Charles and Mary Kraut. He attened schools at Genesee and farmed at the top of Coyote Grade in Nez Perce County. He was a communicant of St. Mary's Catholic Church.
He married Teresa Warnecke at Uniontown Oct. 15, 1934. She survives at the family home.
Other survivors are seven daughters, Marie (Mrs. Francis) Mahan, Worchester, Mass.; Norice (Mrs. Henry) Nesbitt, El Paso, Texas; Cheryl (Mrs. Larry) Click, Spokane; Barbara (Mrs. Robert) Grieser, Lewiston; and Joan Sangroniz, Carol (Mrs. Larry) Vestal, and Margaret (Mrs. Don) Grieser, all of Genesee; three sons, Vernon and Donald, both of Lewiston and Loren, at Genesee; a brother, Elmor Kraut, Genesee; a sister, Teresa Ankerson, Spokane, and 21 grandchildren. A brother, Ernest Kraut, died some years ago.
The family suggests memorials to the Genesee Ambulance Fund.
