Floyd L. Hove, 59, a Genesee native, died Tuesday at Eagle Point, Ore.
He was born Sept. 9, 1917, at Genesee to Arthur and Palma Hove. He attended public schools there, graduating fom high school in 1938.
He attended the University of Idaho for three years before joining the U.S. Army in 1942. He served in Europe in the 40th Engineer Combat Regiment.
He later worked as a surveyor, living at various towns in the Pacific Northwest.
He was a member of the American Legion.
Survivors include his mother at Moscow and two sisters, Clarice Rainey of Albany, Ore., and Elaine Baird of Moscow.
Graveside services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. at the Genesee Valley Cemetery. The Rev. Marlow Engberg of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church at Moscow will officiate.
