Evelyn Marietta Horswill, 57, a former resident of Genesee and a resident of Lewiston since 1970, was found dead at her home Sunday. The body was discovered by her son, James O. McMains, Lewiston.
Mrs. Horswill died sometime Saturday, apparently from natural causes.
She was born Nov. 1, 1916 at Eckley, Colorado, the daughter of James and Clara Thompson. She later moved to Mankato, Kan., where she married Curtis R. McMains in 1935. The couple moved to McCall in 1940. She and McMains were divorced. She married Bert Conklin in 1947. In 1948 she moved to Genesee where she lived until 1961. While at Genesee she owned the NuWay Cleaners.
She married Edgar Horswill at Coeur d'Alene in 1957.
In 1961 she moved to Willamina, Ore., where she lived until moving to Lewiston in 1970.
Survivors are two sons, James O. McMains, Lewiston and Curtis D. McMains, Mountain View, California and a brother, John D. Thompson of Bothell, Washington.
The funeral was Wednesday at 11 a.m. at Vassar-Rawls Funeral Home. Burial Normal Hill cemetery.
