Thelma S. Hoorman, 75, a resident of Genesee for the past 60 years, died at 7:45 p.m. Saturday at St. Joseph's Hospital of an apparent heart attack.
Mrs. Hoorman was a charter member of the St. Mary's Catholic Church and the church's altar society.
She was born Sept. 24, 1898, at Burns, Ore., to Mr. and Mrs. Joseph J. Tupker. She moved to Genesee in 1914 and graduated from Genesee High School.
She married Frank H. Hoorman Nov. 14, 1922, at Genesee. He survives at the family home and is manager of the Genesee Union service station.
Funeral mass will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary's Catholic Church with the Rev. Fr. Urban Schmidt officiating. A rosary will be said at 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at the church. Burial will be at the church cemetery with Brower-Wann Memorial Chapel in charge of arrangements.
