Funeral services were held in Lewiston on Monday for Laura G. Erickson, 94, a long time resident of the Genesee area.
Mrs. Erickson died Thursday morning, October 10th at Resthaven in Clarkston, Washington. She was the widow of Edwin H. Erickson who died on October 16th, 1960.
She was born in Bastad, Sweden on January 14th, 1880. She came to the United States in 1903 and lived in New York City before coming to Spokane, Washington, where she was married to Mr. Erickson on May 13, 1905.
They resided in the Genesee area, where Mr. Erickson was a prominent farmer from that time until his retirement in 1943, when they moved to Clarkston, Washington.
She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Lewiston.
She is preceded in death by her husband, three sons, Clark in 1938; Glen in 1944; George in 1969, and one grandson, Danny Clark Erickson in 1957. Surviving her are one son, Walter, of Genesee; two daughters, Mrs. Reuben Hager, of Edison, New Jersey and Mrs. George Summerside of Libby, Montana; eleven grandchildren and twelve great grandchildren.
Services for Mrs. Erickson were held at 1:30 Monday at Malcolm's [sic] Brower-Wann Memorial Chapel in Lewiston with Rev. Jim Berentson officiating. Vocal selections were "The Old Rugged Cross," and "Jesus, Savious, [sic] Pilot Me."
Bearers were Dale Erickson of Federal Way, Washington; Dewaine Erickson of Kellogg; Glen Erickson of Olalla, Washington, grandsons of Mrs. Erickson, and Ronald and Richard Jacobs of Kellogg and Joel Erickson of Auburn, Washington, who are great grandsons.
Interment was in Lewis-Clark Memorial Gardens in Lewiston.
