Obituary - Jeannine F. Drolet

Jeannine Francoise Drolet, 67, died Wednesday, Feb. 1, 2012. She was a Moscow resident for 30 years. Jeannine was born Oct. 26, 1944, in Shawinigan, Quebec. Her parents were Paul and Louisane Drolet. She grew up in a large, loving family and was always proud of her French-Canadian heritage.

After spending several years on the West Coast, primarily in San Francisco during the heady years of the '60s and '70s, and then Hawaii, Jeannine landed in Moscow. It was here that she found a home. She worked for many years as a caregiver for Stepping Stones/Milestone Decisions. It was a job in which she took immense pride. She also worked in the same capacity for Choices.

Truly an original, Jeannine had a unique style and flair all her own. She could frequently be seen in the downtown area, on her electric bike, visiting friends or selling her beef jerky. She enjoyed decorating her apartment and planting small flower gardens around her apartment building.

Jeannine had many good friends in Moscow who will miss her and should be comforted with the thought that Jeannine was always extremely appreciative of the love and kindness they shared with her.

A memorial service will be conducted at 2:30 p.m. Friday at Short's Funeral Chapel in Moscow. Memorials may be made in her name to Milestone Decisions, 611 S. Main St., Moscow, ID 83843. Online condolences may be sent to www.shortsfuneralchapel.com.
