Lloyd Kenneth Cossairt, 99, passed away Friday, Dec. 23, 2011, at the Aspen Park Care Center in Moscow.
Lloyd was born June 28, 1912, the seventh child born to Henry and Mary Cossairt in Naples, Idaho. He attended school on Highland Flats and went on to work for Browns Mill. He married Zula Hylton on Oct. 31, 1932, and moved to Moscow. They were married 40 years when she passed away.
Lloyd worked for the Forest Service, Potlatch Forests, Inc., Boones Mill, Latah County Road Department, Helbling Bros. and the University of Idaho maintenance department. He came from a musical family and learned to play guitar and mandolin by ear. He enjoyed playing for dances and was a member of the Old Time Fiddlers of Latah County. He loved hunting and fishing.
Lloyd was preceded in death by his brothers, sisters, and son, Kenneth. He is survived by daughters; seven grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
A family memorial will be held at a later date.
