Goldie C. Centers, 77, a retired Lewiston waitress, died of a heart attack, early Tuesday morning at Lewiston Care Center. She had been ill since 1976.
She was a watiress at Jack's Place at Lewiston for several years.
Mrs. Centers was born Jan. 8, 1911, at Moscow to Thomas and Polly Ann Gustin. She graduated from Moscow High School in 1927.
She married Ira A. Centers May 15, 1934, at Asotin. He died Aug. 20, 1971.
They lived at Lewiston until 1951 when she moved to Orofino, where she
worked in the employee dining room at State Hospital North.
In 1953, she moved to Ontario, Ore., where she was employed at a seed plant before moving back to Lewiston in 1961.
In addition to being a waitress at Jack's Place, she also worked at the Community Action Center from 1971 to 1975.
She attended the Lapwai Assembly of God Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Betty Jo Van Komen, Culdesac and Claudia I. Waiters of Lake Chatcolet, Idaho; 14 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at Malcom's Brower-Wann Memorial Chapel at Lewiston with the Rev. Greg White of the Lapwai Assembly of God Church officiating. Burial will be at Lewis-Clark Memorial Gardens at Lewiston.
The family suggests memorials may be donations to the Living Memorial in care of Shirley Noel, 3126 Fourth St., Lewiston, Idaho 83501.
