William M. Bruce, 63, Passes In Spokane After Lingering Illness

William M. Bruce, 63, a Genesee resident for the past four years, passed away at Deaconess Hospital in Spokane Wednesday, November 29 following a lingering illness.

He was born May 7, 1904, in Boulder Park, Colo. He was united in marriage to Thelma Anderson in 1931, and they farmed in the Tekoa, Washington area until moving to Genesee in 1963.

Survivors include his wife, Thelma, at the family home; two sons, Larry, Potlatch, and Darrell, Elk City; three daughters, Bonnie Mattoon, Spokane; Marilyn Steiger, Ferdinand, and Barbara Christensen, Deary; two step sons, Delwyn Thaves, Genesee, and Robert Thaves, Tekoa; 11 grandchildren and 8 step-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 2, at 1:30 p.m. at the First Christian Church in Tekoa. Kimball Funeral Home, Tekoa is in charge of arrangements.

Burial will be in Tekoa.
