Obituary - Norman D. Brower

Norman D. (Dwight) Brower, 45, Deary

Norman D. (Dwight) Brower, 45, of Deary, passed away Saturday, March 10, 2012.

Dwight was born Jan. 13, 1967, in Grangeville. At the age of 6, Dwight moved to Troy after being legally adopted by his grandparents. He graduated from Troy High School in 1985. Dwight attended NIC, where he was certified in welding. He then married his high school sweetheart May 5, 1990, in Moscow. He started his welding career at Ed-Ka Manufacturing in Garfield, where they lived until the spring of 1992 when they moved to Deary, where they currently reside. It was then he began logging. He worked for Keck Logging for two years and then went to work for Steven Henderson Logging out of Lewiston, where he was employed until his death.

He is survived by his wife; his three children; his mother; his brother; and his grandmother. Also surviving are his father- and mother-in-law; and his sisters-in-law and their children. He was preceded in death by his grandfather/father, Duane Brower and an uncle, Wesley Brower.

Dwight enjoyed boating and being in the sun, fishing, four-wheeling and NASCAR, but he was most passionate about his family and spending time with them. He was very proud of his son who joined the U.S. Navy. He and his son enjoyed spending time working on anything that was loud and had a motor. He loved playing guitar with his sons. His daughter was the apple of his eye, and he enjoyed watching her play basketball.

He will always be remembered for his contagious smile, witty sense of humor and willingness to help anyone who was in need, whether they asked or not.

A memorial service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday at Short's Funeral Chapel in Moscow. A luncheon and time of fellowship and remembering will follow at the Deary Community Center.

The family suggests memorials be made to the Deary Ambulance Fund.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Short's Funeral Chapel of Moscow, and online condolences may be sent to www.shortsfuneralchapel.com.
