Mayme Broenneke Passes in Moscow

Mrs. Mayme Broenneke, 76, a former Genesee resident, passed away last Wednesday night at her home in Moscow. She was the widow of C. Henry Broenneke, a retired carpenter, who passed away March 7, 1974.

Mrs. Broenneke was born in Genesee, April 4, 1898 to Victor and Frances Hasfurther. She married Broenneke Sept. 8, 1920, at Genesee. The couple moved to Moscow in 1925 and had lived there since.

She was a communicant of St. Mary's Catholic church.

She is survived by two sons, H.E. "Ike" Broenneke of Lewiston and L.W. Broenneke of Moscow; two daughters, Coreen Cameron, of Moscow and Joyce Kinder of Pullman; four sisters, Kate Baumgartner and Dora Baumgartner, both of Genesee; Martha Edwards of Lewiston, and Madeline Brown of Spokane; a brother, Wilfrid Hasfurther of St. George, Utah; eight grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Rosary was recited Friday at 9:00 p.m. at Short's Funeral Chapel and the funeral mass was said Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at St. Mary's Catholic church. Burial in the Moscow Catholic cemetery.
