Joseph J. Broemeling, a life-long resident of Genesee, died early this morning at the Latah Convalescent Center.
Broemeling, a retired farmer and warehouse manager, was born Aug. 12, 1894. He was married to the former Amanda Grieser, who died in 1940. He was a member of the Genesee Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus and the Genesee Fire Department.
He's survived by three daughters, Mrs. Ben Holliday of Houser Lake, Idaho, Mrs. Robert Tyler, Genesee, and Mrs. Harley Howell, Seattle; two sons, Howard of Seattle and Richard of Canada; a brother Garhard of Provost, Canada; 20 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
Services are pending at Short's Funeral Chapel.

Rosary for Joseph J. Broemeling, who died yesterday at age 81, has been set for 8 p.m. tomorrow at the Genesee Catholic Church.
The requiem mass will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday with Fr. Bill Dohman officiating. Burial will be at the Genesee Catholic Cemetery, with Short's Funeral Chapel of Moscow in charge of arrangements.
The family asks that memorials be made to the Genesee Fire Department.
