Julius Edward Beyer Sr. died Tuesday, Oct. 11, 2011, at St. Joseph Regional Medical Center in Lewiston, from complications of cancer. He was 65. Julius was born Jan. 15, 1946, to Hazel Alice Huett Beyer and Julius Fredrick Beyer.
He attended school in Deary until the eighth grade.
Julius married Rebecca Ann Dodge at Potlatch Oct. 13, 1968.
He worked in farming in the Farmington, Wash., area, then worked at the Potlatch Mill until he returned to farming in Genesee, Potlatch, Deary and other towns around Idaho. He loved to farm until an accident prevented him from working any longer.
Julius loved to farm and spend time with his wife until she died in 2000. He also enjoyed spending time with his family, kids and grandchildren, and going to the casino.
He is survived by two brothers; eight daughters and four sons; 26 grandchildren, one great-granddaughter, and numerous nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by brothers, Fred Beyer, Ronald Beyer, Gorden Beyer, Donald Beyer and Charlie Beyer; his wife, Rebecca A. Beyer; grandson Nathan T. Mclain; and his parents.
Arrangements are pending.

A funeral service for Julius E. Beyer Sr. will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday at Mountain View Funeral Home of Lewiston. Interment will be at Pine Crest Cemetery in Deary.
