GENESEE -- Floyd Benjamin, 61, a former Genesee resident, died Thursday January 23 at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Joel (Mildred) Randall at Covina, California. Death was attributed to a heart attack.
Mr. and Mrs. Benjamin, who had been residing in Lewiston since March, 1967, had been visiting relatives in California since November.
He was born December 25, 1907, in Canada, and on August 30, 1935, he married Opal Wagar at Towner, N.D.
She survives him.
Benjamin was employed for several years with the Genesee Union Warehouse Company. For the past year he and Mrs. Benjamin had been operating a second-hand store at Lewiston.
Survivors besides the widow include three daughters, Mrs. Donald (Blanche) Edwards, Genesee; Mrs. Joel (Mildred) Randall and Mrs. Clint (Karen) Randall, Covina; one son, Richard Benjamin, Bartstow, [sic] California; two half brothers, Roy Wagar, Seattle and Bud Wagar, Minneapolis, Minnesota; a sister, Mrs. Mamie Schroyer, Minot, N.D., and nine grandchildren.
Services and burial were at Covina.
