Despondency Blamed for Man's Suicide

Juliaetta, April 16 - Despondent because of poor health, William Baune, 74, committed suicide by slashing both wrists at his home here Saturday, according to Coroner H. R. Short.

Mr. Baune was born at Lawrence, Neb., and came to Juliaetta in 1922 from Kalispell, Mont.

Surviving are three brothers, Tony Baune, Cottonwood; John Baune, Grangeville, and Ben Baune, Medford, Ore; three sisters, Mrs. Mary Flaherty, in Nebraska; Mrs. Annie Bies, Ferdinand, and Frances Baune, Boise.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at 10 at St. Mary's Catholic Church at Moscow. Burial will be at Moscow Catholic cemetery.
