Obituary - Therra H. Alexander

Therra H. Alexander, 22, Potlatch

Therra Haley Alexander, of Potlatch, died Sunday morning, Nov. 21, 2010, at Gritman Medical Center in Moscow, from injuries received in an auto accident. She was 22. Therra was born Feb. 23, 1988, at Ellensburg, Wash.

The family moved to Potlatch in 1992, where Therra attended school. Therra was active in basketball, volleyball and track all through her school years. Therra was especially passionate about basketball. She helped coach junior high basketball for a time after her graduation from Potlatch High School in 2006. She also participated in Hoopfest in Spokane for several years.

Therra attended North Idaho College and the University of Idaho. She worked currently as a receptionist at the Hamilton Indoor Recreation Center in Moscow.

Therra is survived by her parents; two sisters, her grandparents, and grandmother; Therra also leaves several aunts, uncles and cousins. She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Malcolm Alexander, and step-grandfather Ellis Flaaen.

The graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at the Potlatch City Cemetery for those who wish to attend. A memorial service will follow at 1 p.m. at Potlatch High School, with a covered dish dinner following.

Memorials are suggested to the Potlatch High school girls basketball program.
