Bennie Adee, 74, Moscow

Bennie Mildred Adee, age 74, entered her eternal reward on Sunday, Oct. 8, 2000, after a full life of service, giving and love toward her family and friends. She expired at Moscow Care Center in Moscow, after a lengthy 12-year bout with progressive supranuclear palsy, which she endured with courage and patience, trusting her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

She was born Feb. 18, 1925, in Bear Creek, Ark., into a family of five sisters and two brothers. In 1944, she married Gaylord Marion Adee in San Antonio, Texas. The couple lived in Nebraska, Kansas, Oklahoma, Idaho and in 1957 finally settled in western Washington. She was a housewife and mother and part-time waitress at Rose's and the Farm Inn in Federal Way and Kent, Wash. She also worked as a grocery checker at Valu-Mart, IGA and Fred Meyer in Midway, Wash. After her husband's death in 1981, she worked as an in-Last Page caregiver for two elderly ladies. Her hobbies were sewing and needle art, cooking and gardening.

She is survived by one daughter, Glenda Rogers of Pullman; two sons and their wives, Jerry and Lois Adee of Burnaby, British Columbia, Canada, and Ronnie and Ellen Adee of Allen, Kan.; four grandsons, Demetrius Rogers, Matthew Adee, Jonathan and Brian Adee; two sisters, Dorothy and Dolly; one brother, H.D. Hinchey; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at Yahn and Sons Funeral Chapel in Auburn, Wash., later this week.

Viewing will be at Short's Funeral Chapel in Moscow today from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m.

The family suggests any donations be sent to Moscow Care Center, 420 Rowe St., Moscow, ID 83843.
