Mrs. Anna Kretschmer quietly observed her 88th birthday anniversary on Wednesday, February 23 at her home in Genesee. Other callers included the Rev. Fr. B. C. McCarthy, Mr. and Mrs. Henry Flerchinger, Mr. and Mrs. Ray Trautman, Mr. and Mrs. Herman Bielenberg, and Mr. and Mrs. Ron Bielenberg and daughter, Lisa.
On Sunday, a dinner was held in her honor at the home of her sister, Mrs. Mary Smithwick in Moscow. Besides Mrs. Kretschmer, other guests included Mr. and Mrs. William Bendel and Archie and Mr. and Mrs. Henry Flerchinger. A birthday cake, baked and decorated by Mrs. Flerchinger highlighted the meal.

Mr. Kretschmer passed away in March of 1956.
Mrs. Kretschmer has two sisters, Sister Emmelia, of St. Josephs Home in Spokane and Mrs. Mary Smithwick, in Moscow, besides several nieces and nephews.
