It was the S&S Show in the valley last week.
Bernie Sohn and Terry Stricker headed the women's and men's Team of the Week among valley bowlers, and they did it with a flair.
Sohn became the first woman to land a berth three times on the team. She did it by rolling three-game series of 639 and 622, both tops for the women this year. Jean Rudd's 620 had been the previous high.
Sohn also recorded the single game high of 246, one of five games in a five-day span that she was over 210.
Stricker, who had the third best series two weeks ago, paced the men with a 680 series, his first time at the head of the team for the 1981-82 season. He was followed by Leroy McCaskey (659), Terry Olander (653), Steve Todd (648), and Joe Keener (644). Stricker's 266 also was high.
Transcribed by Jill Leonard Nock, probably from Lewiston Morning Tribune, the clipping had a handwritten date of October 7, 1981.
